We are pleased to offer a budget payment option for your monthly electric service bill. Payment under this plan permits members to pay a specified amount each month for electric service. Budget Payment is a way to levelize your monthly electric service payments and avoid the high spikes that can sometimes occur during the hottest summer months or the coldest winter months.
Participation in the Budget Payment Plan is limited to members with residential / general service, with at least one year of history at the location, and with a current account balance. Budget amounts are calculated automatically, based on your previous billing history. You can monitor your budget account balance throughout the year by examining your monthly billing statement.
Each year, the April bill is designated "TRUE UP" month, displaying the amount owed after the year of budget payments, and your newly calculated Budget amount. All accounts using budget payments must be paid in full in April. If the member’s bill shows a credit balance, indicating over payment for the year, the credit may be applied toward your new budget payment in May.
Participating members are encouraged to notify us if they decide to drop participation or when their electricity usage changes significantly.
