Scholarships - CCEC

The Codington-Clark Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program is designed to recognize certain academic achievements by children of member consumers of Codington-Clark Electric and to encourage students to attend a South Dakota post-secondary institute.

There are four $500 scholarships and two Codington-Clark Electric / CoBank Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The scholarships must be used for educational costs, and the student must enter college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is given. Checks will be made payable to the student and will be distributed by Codington-Clark Electric after the completion of the first semester.

Dependent children of member-system consumers are eligible. The applicant must also be a U.S. citizen. The applicant must be a student who is planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/ technical school located in South Dakota.

Awards are based on the following criteria: a minimum grade-point average of 2.0, a statement of 100 words or less by the student explaining his/her educational and career goals, and two recommendations by third parties.

Except for the requirements outlined in this brochure, no obligations will be imposed upon the student as a scholarship award winner. Other than payment of the scholarship, no obligations or liability are assumed by Codington-Clark Electric Cooperative, Inc.

To apply, complete the required criteria and the scholarship application, which can be obtained from Codington-Clark Electric’s website www.ccelectric.coop, or from area high schools. One application covers both scholarships. The applicant is responsible for submitting all necessary information to apply for a scholarship.
